Cavalettes, Drum Nlaior The Cavalettes is a comparatively new organization at L-P. Every spring iunior girls try out for next year's group. Twenty girls are chosen according to certain qualifications: rhythm, dancing ability, coordination and general cooperation. The Cavalettes originated in i958 and Nlaiorettes add under the direction of Miss Mary Stevens. This year the girls, under the supervision of Miss Irene Page and Donna Weiden, worked out clever routines for the half-time performances at all home football and basketball games. The T959-60 Cavalettes perform with the band at football and basket- ball garnes: Mary Beth Ziel, Sarah LaFlamme, Sandra Guziec, Sharon Sharp, Jean Prazen, Joan LaFlarnme, Geri Jaraczewski, Georgia Billard, Dixie Lee Debo, Carol Niedzweicki. Pep Club vvitli Band promotes school spirit This year the Pep Club with Adviser Miss Mary Weeg or- ganized a card section. Page eighty-six A little cramped for space, perhaps, but the L-P Pep Band doesn't seem to rnind. They do a splendid iob of fostering school spirit by playing at all home garnes.
