Our Junior Year opened immediately with Student Council Delegates chosen, Kandy Beane, Sue Tufo, Rae Ann Campagnola and Lee Hobel were some of our Junior leaders. Several of our clubs were led by Junior students such as Dave Schneider, Red Cross Club, and Liz Visone, French Club. Many Juniors brought music to our ears through band and orchestra. Bob Vezina, Dave Ernst, Angel Smith and Kathy Fish were some of our talented group. J. V. Football this year was quite unsuccessful, yet we had Mike Ivers, Dennis Kaluzny, Art Richter and Don Fell fighting for us. Cross Country this year brought to light many Jun- ior stars. Ron J akubowski and Mike Maksymik helped to attain our All-High fifth placing in finals. In Varsity swimming, Greg Brennan, Don Pecoraro, and Glen Hobel displayed their prowess and style in swimming and helped our team to win three meets. May 19th, the Spotlights were on all of us at the Junior Prom in the gym. The theme was Evening in Athens and we all glided across the floor to the music of Joe Santora's band. The next month was filled with cramming for exams and planning for our Senior year that we all managed to reach finally. Well, here we are on the last stretch and for many of us it is just the end of a beginning, college. What a wonderful feeling it is to be the leaders of the school! Many exciting things have happened, not the least of which was the annual Variety Show on March 8th, entitled People , where some Senior Professionals were seen performing. Our host and hostess were Jim Sheldon and Linda Messina. Other stars included Liz Fischer, Jackie Kemp and Jackie David. Margaret Latko and John Peters won class offices in the elections held in March. Our rings finally came! After the Faculty-Varsity Basketball Game the Faculty was forced to show its true colors in the end: Black and blue. April brought plans for the Senior Prom the Paper Drive and Graduation. All things considered, we can all say that this has been a memorable step in our careers as students. Our Alma Mater is everything that we have made it and in every sense of the idea. WE are Kensington. 75
