Some of the sports the girls participate in are softball. volleyball. basketball. bowling. and ping- pong. Short skirts. braided hair. and blackened eyes: these were a few of the initiation requirements for the freshman girls. The main social eyents of the year are the annual G..-X..-X. Y-Teens The Y-Teens, under the capable direction of Miss Friedrick, began the school year with their traditional candle light initiation. The girls at once started on plans for the main social event of the year, the annual Y-Teen Dance which was held in December. Beau- tifully tinted stars, couples dancing on clouds, and a stairway reach- ing to the sky were the decorations for this dance. The theme for this gala affair was, Stairway to the Stars. Other activities were a skating party and a Mother-Daughter Banquet.
