Lynn Brown, Dr. D. D. Walton The members of the Board of Education are public spitired citizens who take a vital interest in school affairs. The Board meets once a month to discuss important educational problems and to decide on the policies to be carried out by the Superintendent, teachers, and other employees. Mr. Fred Johnson has served as president for three years. Mr. Carl W. Wes- pinter, secretary, and Mr. Charles Potts, treasurer, have been on the Board of Edu- cation for the past eight years. Mr. A. Lynn Brown has completed five years and Dr. D. D. Walton three years of service as trustees of the Board.

The purpose of the body is to promote the fnest type of relationship between the students and the faculty. Students are represented by the four class presidents and a representative from each club or organization. The laculty members are the Dean of girls, assistant principal, the directors of boys’ and girls’ physical edu- cation, and one adviser from each class. Two major entertainments sponsored by the Faculty-Student Council this year were “Wonders of Electricity” and a Donkey Basketball game.
