Our daily routine w as explained to us and finally we were on our way Classes went along fine. Charley and the white mice inspired us, nerves and blood vessles intrigued us. Anatomy stumped us, but we fought on. Sundays found us trippin down Times Square with Mr. Howell. Little Italy China, India, Russia, Japan and last but not least Hammers and Louies all gave us many interesting and humorous times. For relaxation's sake, memories take us back to our many parties and gay times and our plays which were a howling success. The most outstanding event w--fn--f r, 7, M ,i,,....f4,,-a.,,,.g55i V ,. You can just taste those heaping dinners by merely thinking of them. Finally exams, and then we were eagerly awaiting our turn to see Miss Wooders . . . would we go or would we stay was the question. With great for- mality our stiff white caps were placed on our heads and now . . . tomorrow. With capping over we plunged into our Freshman block. You start won- dering are two hands and feet enough . . . How can we do it? At this point we all marveled at how Tempus Fugitsfl With' fond farewells we bid the first eontingents off to Soho and Greystone. We back home waited anxiously for news from afar. Meanwhile we were going through services with wonder at the routine of obstetrics, and children's Ward- the stcritily of the O. R., the odors of the D. K., and the excitement of the em- ergency room and before we knew it we were limiting ourselves to our four or fire suitcases, packing our most treasured belongings and we were off. At Soho we struggled in and out of contagion gowns, washing our hands countless times a day and by night watching for rashes to pop out. Greyestone found us in the showers where the patient's were supposed to be, but one remembers not to argue with the patients so well enough was left alone We slowly tore our hair out over Neuro-Anatomy and Psychology, but we relaxed at the Unit over super sundaes. But Hnally our time was up. We packed and said good-bye to all our new friends from the other hospitals and returned to our fold. The prospect of stripes and senior block now confronted us. Eight long weeks, but they flew and our Senior Cadet period sneaked upon us. True we laughed. griped, cried and wanted to give it all up more than once, but now our goal has been reached. Our first uniforms meant the beginning, and our stripes mean the end. Graduation is upon us and as we look back We all agree that it was worth it.
