Kovach, keep equipment intact. CLARK ENDS UNSPECTACULAR SEASON Coach Emerson Aldrich and his ' 51 Pioneers didn ' t fare so well this year, as they emerged victors in two of their eight outings. Their two wins were over Thornton Fractional and Hammond Tech. The Pioneer ' s machine was only in top-notch working condition in one classic, that being the GRC- Tech tilt in which the Robertsdale lads managed a 34-7 win. GRC’s 52 squad will be minus the services of Bob Companik, Vic Collins, Steve Dupin, Ted Herman and Marcus Hmurovich, member of the Hammond Times All-Star Squad. SCHEDULE Clark Opponent j E. C. When the varsity machine faltered, it was Coach Peterson and his Settlers that provided the thrills for Pioneer rooters. The younger Pioneers went through the season undefeated, notching wins over Hammond Tech, Thornton Fractional, Mor- ton and Whiting. Bonds, Oaks and Wilson ran the defensive opponents wild and proved to all Clark fans and coaches alike, that the Pioneer camp wouldn ' t be so dark in 1952. 20
