ThE flSHlflMD aSTEHQJDS Drama is an art of words, but unlike fiction, and po- etry, the words are in dialogue. The actor imitates life or rather holds a mirror up to Nature so that we may enter our worlds as spectators instead of par- ticipants. In this way we are separate and yet there is a sort of cummunion between actor and audience - a mutual celebration and sharing. Such sharing allows us to transcend our separation. It ' s electric, elevating to our spirits. It touches our souls and rounds out our dreams. To John and Rex who shared so much - For this relief, much thanks. (k M - M.
