This group has sent gifts to the residents of an orphanage in France at Christmas time for the past six years. lt had also participated in the annual Mardi Gras, and the lnternational Christmas Potluck. This past year the French Club cooperated with the American Field Service in an attempt to bring more exchange students to Fresno High.

SPANISH CLUB Mr Albert Swanson Sponsor Los Guirreros Espanoles, also known as the Spanish Club, was organized in l946 to broad- en its members knowledge of the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking countries. The meetings, partially held in Spanish, are occasionally en- hanced with Spanish cultural films. This year the club donated money to the Nutritional Home at Christmas. I Sonia, Dennis, Deon, Paul, Charline, and Sue are the officers for German Club. German Club was organized in i930 tor the purpose ot promoting an interest in the German customs and language. This club had money raising ventures ancl participated in the all-language-club banquet held in December.
