The Lettermen club enjoyed an- other successful year because of the great attitude of the Athletes. Some of their progress was provid- ing awards and letters to our schools outstanding athletes. They also had alot to do with athletes who could not afford the high insur- ance prices. Without the help of the lettermen club many athletes who play a key role in athletics may not have been able to participate in sports due to the rising insurance prices. X . The 82-83 Florence G-.A.A. has had a good year. We started out by electing officers. Rene Goade-Pres., Andi Cordova-Vice-Pres., Penny Jaurequi-Treas., Sharon Lewis-Sec. Our membership for G.A.A. this year was 25 young athletes. Our money products this year consisted of a Valentine sucker sale in Feb. and a G.A.A. spring T-shirt sale. G.A.A. offers an organization for the young athletes of Florence High School. We hope through guidance and companionship our athletes can go on to pursue a career which is useful to them. The members in the organization sold ghost grams for Halloween. Every year F.H.A. works very hard to raise money for the March of Dimes. This year Florence will host a District Meeting to practice proficiency for the state convention in Tucson.
