Semor Memorles CLASS OFFICERS Second Semester Presldent DONALD TOWERS Vice Presldent JOE RUFFATTT Secretary MARY MUIR 'Ireasurer TOM FALGIEN Flrst Seme ter OLIN RENFROW DONALD ROBERTS PATRICIA CHIARO TOM FALGIEN Student Councll Representatlves SALLY WHITE GUS VENDETTI LORENCF HIGH SCHOOL m September of 1946 enrolled sixty Freshmen who though frlghtened were determined to carve out thexr niche ln the hlstory of F HS Many of the class members thus began by showing ab1l1ty in sports dramatlcs and muslc Three boys were 1n1t1ated into the F Club and our contest play A New Glrl In 'Iown captured flrst prxze 'Ihe begmnmg of our Sophomore year was started wlth the same determmatlon Our contest play Judys Joke whlle not capturlng flrst prlze thls year was awarded second place Once more our boys excelled ln sports and three more were lmtlated 1nto thc F Club The glrls not to be outdone took 3Cf1Ve part ln GAA and the Pep Club Our Freshmen Sophomore party glven 1n honor of the Freshmen was a fun packed 'Affair whlch was thoroughly enjoyed In our Junlor year class members worked on edxtorxal staffs took part ln dra matlcs band musl al groups and other clubs and actlvxtles The F Club galned four addltlonal boys from our class and Helen Rosales and Marrlner Cardon had the honor of becomlng members of the Natlonal Honor Soc ety In March of that year of 49 we staged our Jumor play The RlSlHg Sun whlch prox ed to b a smashlng success galn mg for oux cla s addxtlonal fame and funds The latter plus other actlvlties and the wonderful help of Mrs Rachel Edwards helped us to put over the major project whlch was uppermost ln our mmds that of a super deluxe Prom We succeeded The theme of the Prom Wlnter Wonderland was carrxed out b autlfully and was ac lalmed one of the most beautxful Proms held 1n FHS The last epxsode 1n our hlgh school days we began by electmg Loyal Ray Proud and Jo Ann Smlth as Head Boy and Head Glrl Tom Falglen and Patrxua Chlaro gamed this coveted OfflC6 the econd semester We once more partlclpated whole lleartedly ln all FHS actlvltles Seven Senxors Betty Sue Baker Antolnette Carestla Tommy Falglen Jo Ann Smith Cecllia Falgxen R.alph1e Ortez and Jxm Daxley became members of the Natlonal Honor SOCICUY Notable events whlch Wl'1 remam 1n our mem orle were the Sen1or Dance Senlor Play Western Day Costume Day Class Day Sklp Day Ba calaureate and Commencement We the graduates of 1950 graduated wlth both a feellng of regret and eagerness Eagernes as to the future but regret and sadness ln leavmg all who are a part of Grand Old F H S CLASS OF 1950 Class Sponsors MISS GENEVIEVE CHRISTOFF MR MAC WATSON I 1 M Page Seven
