The Eag1ebitties,however, worked hard and molded a fine squad that ripped through an ll game schedule wi th an impressive 6 - 3 - 1 r ecor d. The junior boys ended the 1950 race in clear possession of second place, trailing only the B ir d ville team, at whose hands came two of the three losses. The third setback was suffered at Jacksboro, The future Eagles posted two victories each over Newcastle and Alvord, and took single games from Jacksboro and Bridgeport. The Bridgeport juniors battled theEagle- bitties to a deadlock here at Decatur. This was con s ide r ed to have been a very good season indeed, and everyone is proud of Mr. Hodges and his boys.
