“Who Killed Amt Caroline?” Last year’s laughed-filled play was a three-act farce entitled, “Who Killed Aunt Caroline?”. Laughter filled the auditorium as the audience watched the antics of the Endicott family-, the mysterious death of their rich and stern Aunt Caroline, the amusing investigation of her death, and the surprising outcome which brings to light a very involved suicide. Congratulations go to Miss Stiles and her fine cast. Their many hours of hard work were rewarded with great success. 94

The most anticipated and elegant event in our junior year was the prom. This year was special because it was “our” prom, and after months of preparation, the evening of May 7, 1965 finally became a reality. It was hard to believe that our prom committee had transformed the Alpine Inn into a “Polynesian Paradise, ’ complete with tropical palm trees and lotus blossoms on a volcanic isle. This atmosphere made it easy to glide to the wonderful sounds of the Ronnie Lewis Orchestra, especially when the melody of our theme song, “Bali Hai,” filled the air. This year was also special because it marked the first year that our school voted for a Prom Queen. Miss Anna Ankerson lit up the evening as she accepted her well-deserved crown and a bouquet of red roses. The time passed too swittly, and as the clock struck twelve, we left our little island for the Fireside Open Hearth where we had a very enjoyable prom party. Everyone’s dreams were coming true and we will long remember our night in Paradise. Our many thanks to Mrs. Condon and Mr. Shaw for making our Junior Prom an event we will long remember. 93
