lympic Week promotes spirit and pride Olympic week gave students a chance to become involved while competing or rooting for their classes. The event featured a week's worth of lunchtime activities in which each class attempted to outdo the others. Though the juniors seemed to dominate the week, winning tug-of-war by their brute strength, VW stuffing by cramming an astounding 21 juniors into the car and pyramid building with their monkey-like agility, sophomores captured first place after winning the innertube water polo and the obstacle course, which was worth more points Olympic Week was judged a success by referees Mike Hess and MaryAnn Muller, and it is hoped to become an annual event. K 1 Students conserve CdM In an effort to solve the trash problem and beautify the campus, the Sea King Conservation Corps was created this year. The corps consisted of five CdM students: john Keating, Nicole Tries, Chip C-rail, Pam Lawerence, and Todd Lamoureaux, who worked on a variety of projects. They cleaned the planters in all parts of the school in preparation for the spring when a variety of ice plants and flowers, including African lillies and daisies, were planted. 2 3 1.
