JUNIORS EYE FUTURE WHILE In late August of 1967, 650 sophomores of the class of “70” entered CHS for the first time. We discovered the high standards of academic and athletic excellence expected of us. This fall our junior class presented the school an elegant, fanciful Coronation. Entitled “Fantasyland,” some of that mood seemed to fill the gymnasium that magical evening. Our lovely maid, Pat Meurcr, was the center of attention as she entered to “The Shadow of Your Smile.” Our class supported the new Basketball Coronation by electing Zoe Lakes our junior maid to the Queen’s court. Late in our junior year our class sustained tradition by giving the soon-to-graduate seniors a memorable Prom. The French atmosphere of “Night in Paris” provided a beautiful high point in our years at CHS. Having now finished two years at CHS, our class has displayed that it has the courage and talent to face the challenge and promise of the future.
