6040 Z the tulip festival, having the theme, time began on friday night may fourteenth with a musical pro- gram presented by the community. saturday dawned a beautiful, bright, sunny day for the many scheduled activitiesg hobby and flower show, souvenirs, a pony pull, viewing of the tulip gardens, street scrubbers in costume scrubbing the streets, klein and groat lompen dancers kicking and twisting to mu- sic, and then the big parade of floats, bands, people everywhere. the ffa takes grand prize and ripley band wins again. the afternoon was highlighted when the new queen was crowned in the festivities. queen peggy re- ceived her crown from queen janet amid applause and cheers. the festivities concluded with music and speech. ,ialfz Wm M77

denim pku, on november 18 and 19, the seniors came forth with a brilliant production of agatha chris- tee's play ten little indians, the cast carefully selected and directed by mr. morgan, spent much time to perfect characterization and quality of expression. on opening night the audience was amused and sometimes frightened as each of ten people came closer to his death. suspense was built up whenever a china indian disappeared. when the murderer was finally revealed, many were shocked. with many encouraging comments going to the cast, mr. morgan and student di- rector, barbara breter, the play was considered 3. 0 gif WW on a bright and sunny afternoon may twenty-first, the girls at clymer central dressed in lovely gowns pre- sented the annual may day festivities with a trumpet fanfare and organ music in the background, twelve girls representing the freshmen, sophomore and junior classes stepped forward carrying floral deco- rated arches through which came the girls of the senior class. six flower girls and h'er majesty, queen beverly buesink. her majesty was then presented with royal gifts: a footstool, neck- lace and a crown all adorned with red roses. a maypole dance gaily pre- sented in the queen's honor by the fourth grade girls concluded the ceremony.
