.xgcfminidfrallion Few of our numbers realize the vast amount of worlc that goes into the efficient operation of an institution the size of our Alma Mater. ln 1947, Chicago College of Qptometry was created by a group of farsighted men seeking to advance Optometric education, professionalism, and thinking. Without these mensathe administrations' the organizational structure of our school would never have been conceived and the majority of us would never have received our educations. There is much more worlf involved in running a school than is obvious at the surface. Many major and minor problems, arising every day, must be solved correctly. Without this body, the structure of the school would collapse. To Dr. Reuben Seid, Dr. Eugene Freeman, and all the others on the administrative team, we owe a debt that can never be repaid. It was through their efforts that we are today on the threshold of professional optometry, well prepared for the taslcs that face us in the near tomorrow. I
