Students share pride in ethnic backgrounds Central's gym was the setting for the 1975 Ethnic Assembly on Wednesday, April 23rd. Groups were imported from all over the city to entertain the student body. Each group was assigned a faculty host who greeted them at the door. helped them become familiar with Central and with the as- sembly program, and, after some refreshments. saw them them off, The groups and their faculty hosts were: The Echoes of Poland with their Faculty Host Sr. Geraldine: The Emerald Ceili Dancers with their Faculty Host Mrs. Hussg Los Colores Folhoricos with their Faculty Host Sr. Pat Schnapp: and The Scott Gospel Choir with their Faculty Host Mrs. Seeman. A special appearance was also made by Ted Franks' Polka Band. Everyone learned some- thing about the different ethnic backgrounds that make up CCHS, The assembly was spon- sored by the Afro-American Club. After the assembly during all three lunches, there was an Ethnic Bake Sale in the Small Cafeteria, selling all sorts of Clapping their hands Three of the Irish Iassies concentrate traditional ethnic goodies.
