SENIORS The senior class of 1951 is the only class that has been at Carmel High School for six years. We came up as lowly seventh graders, but as eighth graders we asserted ourselves. We had the school laws changed to permit eighth graders to attend school dances and to vote in student body elections. As underclassmen we were very active. As juniors we sponsored the junior-Senior Prom which was held at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Our senior play, Murder in a Nunnery, with Katy Brania and Howard Veit in the leads, was the out- Preslde t CONRAD EGE Vice preszdent MAVIS JONES Secretary LINDA BAIN Treasurer JOHN EDVIONDS LINDA BAIN President KENNETH WIGHTMAN Vzce president N AN CX N UTTER Secretary KATHY SEIPEL Treasurer standing accomplishment of our whole six years. It could never have been done without the co-operation of the entire class and the never failing leadership of Mrs. Brey. The year was climaxed with a Senior Ball and a Senior Barbecue. The senior assembly was a hilarious success. In farewell we wish to thank the faculty, the staff, and the teachers who have advised us, especially Mrs. Down and Mr. Miller, for giv- ing us six wonderful years that will never be forgotten.
