Concert Choir is a three-part girls' chorus and is under the direction of Miss Jean Ziebell. The group made several appearances at school assemblies and sang at the annual PTA Christmas program. Also at Christmas time, they went caroling at several of the valley hospitals. Choir members gave the band a helping hand by ushering at the Bill Page concert at North High. Serving as Concert Choir officers were Connie Sampson, vice president, Linda Sadler, president, and Mary Beth Moore, librarian. Missing from the picture is Louise Greeland, secretary. A Capella Choir, which meets third period, has been busy this year. They sponsored three special music groups: Boys' Quartet, Ensemble, and Girls' Trio. Singers for Madrigals were also selected from this group. Members sold Mason's candy to finance a trip to Tucson and All-State choir at Flagstaff. The organ- igation also had the Dunk the Choir booth at the Spartan Holiday and appeared at several assemblies. Officers this year were Bill Nelson, vice president, Wendy Tuch, secretary, and Bill Steele, president.

NC. Ensemble The largest of the three special groups is ensemble, which is made up of a Capel- la choir members. The ensemble perform- ed at the Christmas Assembly, accompan- ied by the entire choir. They also gave Christmas programs at both the Phoenix Country Club and the Arizona Country Club. Ensemble members are, Front Row: Barbara Miller, Suzi Springer, Stanna Niemcyzk, and Penny Radu. Back Row: Bill Nelson, Tom Roger, Bill Steele, and Frank Bramwell. Girls Trio The Girls' Trio was a hit at the PTA Christmas program, which was the first public performance tor the girlS. SINCE then, they have had other appearances, including one at a Parents' Music Club meeting. The trio membership includes Barbara Miller, Suzi Springer, and Stanna Niemcyzk. Bous, Ouartet Known as the Barbershop Quartet or the Untouchables, this group has pro- vided a lot ot fun and entertainment for the Spartans. They made their debut at the Christmas Assembly, where they sang Winter Wonderland. They also appear- ed at the Band Concert at Encanto Park. The four lonely bachelors are Tom Roger, Bill Nelson, Bill Steele, and Frank Bramwell
