CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION WUS, lleligion-in-Life, Burma-Bucknell, Freshman Camp and lfiresidesw-these are some of the outstanding projects undertaken hy the Bucknell University Christian Association. Motivated hy student enthusiasm, the activities of the CA can he hroken down into two areas: orientatinf the F freshmen to their new way of life, and reminding the upper- classmen of their spiritual heritage. The actual Work of the organization begins in Septemlier with the opening of Freshman Camp: as the year progresses, interest continues to mount. Students may write for the Clmllenge, partici- pate in the Nine-Thirty Class, do volunteer work at Selins- grove State School, or keep abreast of the latest news from Kappa Chi Lambda, the Religion Honorary. Annually, the CA sponsors two weekends: Religion-im Life and Burma-Bucknell. This year, speakers not only came to Bucknell and perusecl the theme, Wllhe Idea of a Universityf, during Religion-in-Life Week, hut there was a follow-up of a series of round tables and conferences with professors and other distinguished leaders. The 13th an- nual Burma-Bucknell Weekend provided a lively exchange of idea, culture and friendship between Bucknell and Bur- mese students residing in the United States. As always, the weekend promoted fellowship and understanding of people from a different culture.

X, 'Qt . :X l . Deljen and R. llerrcilers loueh up seem-ry back stage. C P A D DAGGER What does it 1nean to he a member ol' Cap and Dagger? Undoubtedly one must have a sense of pride at having earned the eighteen points needed for membership. They are achieved through long hours ol backstage work on cos- tuming, sets or publicity. Then comes the true feeling of belonging to the theatre. At production time, one is com- pletely absorbed into the realm of greasepaint, mangled scripts and collee breaks. This year, Cap and Dagger presented three plays: The Lower Depths, !lmpl1,ilryon. 38 and The Male Anzfmal. Under the direction of Grenville Cuyler, the Actor's Lab and Studio was reestablished. Ofoti the Troll, by Dr. John S. Wheatcroft, and The Lesson, were two of the stage produc- tions of this group. Actor's Lab also gave two superb readings of 'l'. S. Eliotis poems. Finally, they sponsored a one-act play contest in an attempt to develop more on campus talent. Certainly one does not work hard for Cap and Dagger either .lor success or recognition. The greatest reward is standing on the stage alone alter everyone has left, re- membering, reliving, and knowing that oneis job has been well done. TH E LOWER lJEI I'HS -- -1960.
