Dail Stone The Junior-Senior banquet is one of the most outstanding features of the school year. To the Juniors, the banquet means hard work and lots of fun. Many extra hours are put in for one special night. Decorating the gym and church, planning the menu, and getting a theme takes time and consideration. To the Seniors, the banquet serves as a farewell party- It gives them the chance to eat, talk, and dance with their friends and classmates before graduation. It brings back memories of the past when they served, decorated, and planned. It is a privilege to the Sophomores who are chosen to serve as the waiters and waitresses. To all, it is a thrilling climax of a school year. Another pole almost covered. Roller skating parties have again been popular with the students in B. H. S., when as skaters or spectators, they have gone to Ellys on's at Macon, or to the Marceline Roller Rink in Marceline. The Freshmen invited the Sophomores to go with them the last part of December. The Seniors were the guests of the Juniors, January 16. The Seniors returned the favor, February 20, and the basketball squads were treated to a skating party, February 13, by their coach, Mr. Munns. Each group reported humorous incidents, such as the collision of .Tim Keathley with his father, who had been extremely cautious all eveni.ng, and the entanglement of Richard Connon, Joan Douglas, and Frances Molloy. Others told ofthe graceful and rhythmic skating of certain couples. All in all, they were parties which will long be remembered.
