Layout, news gathering, and many related duties are all integral functions before publication. Julie and Deb have put forth great efforts in publishing this paper, of which we are all proud. On the other hand, Tami and Judy have spent many hours working on the yearbook. This requires getting pictures, designing and layout, writing copy, and many little odds and ends. It all takes time and maybe sometimes more than is thought. But, in the end, you find it's all worth it. Mrs. Bolton Mr. Reardon 6 MEMORIES Staff ADMINISTRATION ADMINISTRATOR 7 1. The sense of finality seemed real as their feelings about everything intensified. As graduation approached, Seniors looked back nostalgically on their years of school and growing up together and wondered where it all went to. Busy as they were. Seniors knew that decisions must be made and made now. Although the regret of leaving high school was there, the possibilities of the future intrigued them. The last weeks of school with Gov't, term papers due, final exams. Cedar Point, and graduation preparations flew by like minutes. Then it became time for tasseled caps and gowns. Class Day, Baccalaureate, proud parents, Commencement ceremonies, happiness, and a few tears ... IT WAS TIME FOR THE CLASS OF 1978 TO MEET THE WORLD. ©RAixymOM 49 On Thursday, June 8, 1978 at eight o’clock. Commencement took place for the class of 1978. They were escorted onto the Athletic Complex at Bronson High School, by honor guards of the class of 1979. Dreams” was the topic addressed by Historian, Bonnie Hyska. The Valedictorian, Charles Bell, talked on What’s Next?’’ Stephen Albright, class Salutatorian, gave a speech on A Time to Understand.” Following them was the Honors Presentation and also the Presentation of the 1978 class. Finally the Awarding of Diplomas came — which brought about many smiling faces. The Cane Ceremony completed the Commencement with Chuck Bell presenting the cane to Carol Haylett, President of the class of 1979. It’s all over now and in just one short year, we’ll be out there again, reliving the past and looking ahead towards a new beginning.
