Monadnock St. Johnsbury Lebanon Rutland Springfield Bellows Falls Mt. St. Joseph Mt. Anthony The Brattleboro Football squad was one of the top three teams in contention for the Division I Championship title this year. The Colonels’ six wins and two losses constituted the third best record in Vermont. Members receiving awards from the Fire Depart- ment were Ron Worden, Chief’s Award; Bill Grass, Best Defensive Back; Dave Perkins, Best Defensive lineman; Grady Vigneau, Best Offensive Lineman; Joe Gembarowski, Vermont’s September Athlete of the Month, received the trophy for Best Offensive Back. Members receiving awards at the banquet were Bill Grass, Coaches’ Award; Joe Gembarow- ski, Most Valuable Player; Bill Grass, Best Defen- sive Back; Joe Gembarowski, Best Offensive Back ; Grady Vigneau, Best Defensive Lineman; Mike Momaney, Best Offensive Lineman; and Steve Zalunzy, Colonel Award.

1972 JV. aud Freslunow Football The Lt. Colonels posted а winning season under the skilled guidance of Coach North. The J.V. team fell victim to only one opponent. Next season mem- bers of this squad will have the opportunity to con- tribute their talents to the Varsity team. Lebanon MSJ Bellows Falls Deerfield Academy Keene Mt. Anthony The 1972 Freshman Football Team finished an undefeated season with a record of 7-0. Coaching unbeaten Freshman teams for their four th consecu- tive year were Ralph Momaney and Martin Lapan. The team compiled a total of 232 points while yielding only 32 to their opponents. Bellows Falls Mohawk Springfield Monadnock Mt. Anthony Keene Stevens
