SPIRIT WEEK OCTOBER 8-15 Nostalgia Day brought a wave of bobby socks and saddle shoes on “greasers” and pony-tailed girls pouring into Noll; then School Color Day filled the halls with wall- to-wall blue and gold. Seniors practiced daily for their pep rally skit. “Who’s Afraid of the Waller Wolves?” and then rushed home to make more, more. MORE tissue flowers for the floats for the big parade. Loyal Warriors darted in and out among the floats, selling balloons, stiring up more spirit for . . . the big game! The Warriors had no trouble keeping the big bad wolves away from the door ... or the goalposts ... de¬ feating the Chicago team easily, 34-0, to the delight of all the Noll Homecoming fans, and especially the 1973 Homecoming Queen. Cori Koricich, whose crowning was the highlight of the half-time ceremonies. 1. The senior skit at the pep rally following the parade. 2. Homecoming General Chairman. Jeanette Polance. and Student Council President. Jim Zappia. 3. Matt Porras, freshman representative in the pie-eating contest. 4. Mr. Pressner in 1930’s garb for Nostalgia Day. 5. The beginning of the senior class float. 6. The winning class float.
