There were many bright spots for the Indians who were captained by Joe Gualteri, Mike Moriconi, and Paul Frazier. Moriconi Q22-18-4Ol and Gual- teri C12-23-35l were selected to the MVC 1st team allstars, All-Conference team. Gualteri was voted most valu- able player of the year in the MVC while Frazier 112-22-34l, Steve Rob- erts and Dave DiNanno were selected to the large school allstar team. The team also beat perrenial powerhouse Austin Prep. in the season opener. In the allstar game, Billerica accounted for five of the six large school goals, Frazier netting three and Moriconi net- ting two. Roberts assisted of five re- spectively. The team will lose key players to graduation: Dan Kilday, Ed Burke, Jeff Beckwith, Darel Crandall, Bill Riley, and Hardworking Mike Kel- ly. On behalf of the team we would like to thank Coach Mark Jenkins, Tom Glavin, and Assistant Coach Mike Esposito.

Third row: Sandy Hughes, Tracy Shaw, Laurie Mitza, Denise Beck, Kim Davis, Jennifer McGinnis, Allison Hazen. his year's Billerica girls' swim- team was co-captained by se- nior Laurie Mitza and junior Denise Beck. Enthusiasm and team spirit were two contributing factors to this years successful record. Throughout the season, each team member demonstrated determination and dedication toward the achieve- ment of the year's team success. As a team, the girl's were very supportive of each other and shared their success as well as their disappointments. ln swimming, unlike other team sports, each swimmer must perform all alone to achieve her individual goal, and better the team score. This can be difficult at times when the girl is swim- ming against strong competition and cannot hear her teammates cheering her on from the poolside. As stated before all the girls swam well this year, and each swimmer had improved her time by the end of the season. Representing our school at the sectionals were Kim Davis, Denise Beck, Janine Cumming, Kerri Little, Killian McNulty and Kris Raybould. The divers were also a benefit to the team, and each diver improved her scores by the end of the season. Diving for Billerica were: Tracy Shaw, Chris Plasse, and Jennifer Mclnnis.
