Terri Johnson was a Dane Hansen finalist. She was chosen for an Elks Most Valuable Student- Leadership Scholarship and was a K.U. Honor Student. John Long was offered a West Texas State University Scholarship Tammy Dewey received a Crums Beauty College Scholarship. a Beloit BPW Scholarship and was a Vocational Scholar Blaise Klenda went to State in golf. Anita Dillner received a Boo-gaarts Scholarship. Greg Larson received an N.H.S.. D.A.R., Dane Hansen Scholarship. and was a Dane Hansen finalist. Honor Student and received the Women's Panhellenic Assoc. Scholarship. Lana Reimann, Marne Mann. Angela Larsen and Kim McClintock broke the State record for the 800 meter relay in 1981 They placed first at State. 120 Kelly Amerine received a Fort Hays State Academic Scholarship. Tim Benoit accepted a wrestling scholarship from Colby Comm College. Steve Brown was the recipient of a Fort Hays State Wrestling Scholarship.
