The members of the administration best known to Ballou students are the counselors. To Mrs. Cynthia Keeling, Mrs. Maude Hughes, Mrs. M. Ruth Clauselle, and Mrs. Antoinette Mills, scores of Ballou students pour out their problems daily. The position requires understanding and the ability to make decisions, and is a center for aiding in the difficult adjustment period from adolescence to adulthood. Providing inspiration and assisting in the formation of' a student's character are major reasons for our counselors' success. Mrs. M. Just about the least known segment of Ballou is the office staff. 5 F Mrs. Alice Bird, administrative aide,looks up during her busy office schedule. Mrs. Mary A. Staub Filled with dedicated and creative personnel, the office runs the school smoothly. The secretaries run the switchboard, type absence lists, keep track of students, and perform a thousand other essential tasks. The enormous assignment of ordering and maintaining Ballouls supply of texts goes to the bookclerk, Mrs. Parker.
