- 1A.M.A.l944 ,1- Class Prophecy The scene-Academy Campus-the date-june 1954. Action takes place the afternoon and evening of the Final Ball. The VVorld Wai' Il came to a close with the defeat of Germany, October 1945 when an A.lVl.A. Alumnus and his dear friend rode down the Under Der Linden Boulevard in Berling the war with japan being climaxed with an eminent alumnus leading the linal attack on Tokyo which forced japan to her knees, June 1947. Many events have taken place since those memorable days and the world has returned to a state or normalcy with the election of a famous Augusta man as President of the United States. The month of roses has brought back many sweet memories and every alumnus within a radius of a thousand miles has returned to pay honor to the co-principals of A.M.A., Uncle Tom and Big Boy, who have just dedicated many new additions to A.M.A. A new mess hall with a seating capacity of 1,000 cadets has just been opened to ofhcial use. This was made possible through the efforts of the class of 194-4, who contributed over EB150,000. lt lies situated between Colonel's house and the Main Barracks. Pardon me, Red Allyn just approached to inform me that he has been divorced again, and this time has married another heiress whose fortune is estimated to be in millions. He has just promised me a new Academic Building in memory of his first wife. Red is now engaged in the theatre business. His most recent play was Too Many Broken Hearts. Vic Arthur is the leading criminal lawyer of Wi11cl1este1'. Bearden and Bello just dropped in to say hello. joe has inherited his father's contracting business in Vllashington and is now constructing a memorial to Robert B. Lee, which has been made possible through the eHorts of the Gov- ernor of Virginia, Graham Darden. Bearden is now in General Marshall's static as advisory expert on aviation. Bob Brewer was recently elected representative to Congress from the state of Cuba. Cuba was admitted to the Union through the efforts of the law firm of Darden, Davis and Pritchett, experts in international law. Charlie Bryan, who was injured leading the attack on Tokyo and who has been retired from active service, is now conducting his father's farm, which is the main source of supply for l'Bryan's Gentle Milk, one of the talking points of Virginia schools. Butler and Burt are now in Hollywood where they are movie producers. jack Codling is now J. Livingston Codling, Baltimore's leading manu- facturer. Chancey is conducting a chain of restaurants after his experience at A.lVl.A. Derck and Dashiell stated that they have just purchased S.M.A. and will run it along A.M.A. lines. Douglass has just signed a contract taking Bob,Hopels place on the jello Program. Dunbar is now teaching tactics at V.M.T. Eborn has inherited his father's lumber business and is now interested making VVashington, N. C., the same kind of city that Vlfashington, D. C., is. He is mayor, president of

Georger liked A.M.A. so much that he has purchased a third interest in the school. Granda, who until recently was head of the Cuban Navy, has returned to his sugar factory. Joe also does a lot of professional fencing and wrestling on the side. Fred Haden is now happily married and the father of five cunning children. Hayes and Haydon, F. C., have just formed a partnership which will deal in fertilizers. The Hevener Brothers, jack and jimmy, have taken Don Brown into their business, which consists of manufacturing Mars Cargo Planes. Hockman is chief pilot of Pan American Airways. Holt is a retired gentleman farmer of North Carolina. Kirk is now head football and basketball coach at the University of Virginia. Gene Kline is at last a real editor of a real newspaper. He has succeeded his father as manager editor of Squ'i1'1'cZ Hill Times, the most outstanding newspaper of Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania. Musser just recently returned from his dramatic tour of Europe. He was awarded the title of America's Perfect Lover in a recent poll of the larger European cities. Hollywood is calling him. McOwen has just finished his medical studies at the University of London. McGloon is now a professional fencer. Pittman was recently elected mayor of Bacon's Castle after a strong light against the Republican candidate, Larry Stanley. Fred Silverman is now sole owner of the Boston Bees and in private life is happily married. Stradley took over the managements of the Stradley Enterprises of Wilinington, Del. Stone is the leading politician of Crewe, Virginia, just across the state a few miles is the domain of the most powerful figure in Virginia politics-Bill Stuart. Tariche is in the sugar business in Cuba. Thomas, M. O., is the city manager of Harrison- burg. Bill Thomas is now a full Lieutenant in the U.S.N. Thornhill has also purchased a third interest in A.M.A. Clay VVelker has settled down to raising thoroughbreds in Kentucky. I. D. Wliite has just purchased the Child Restaurant System and added it to his chain in Wytheville. Clint Whitehurst in 1953 won the Nobel Prize for Literature. His recently published book of poems is now a best seller. The Woiig Brothers have incorporated themselves in the firm WONG, WONG and WONG, Architects. The most popular artist who has been designing covers for all the leading magazines is our own Nick VVreden. Spotty West is now the leader of a group of racketeers which are gaining control of the city of Newport News, a city that has recently become a metropolis. West is vigorously fought by Statesman Stuart. Time is growing short and the lights have just been cut off, so we must stop until june 1955 when we shall again take up the life and lives of our illustrious alumni.
