As The school year begins The problem oT Halloween vandalism arises in The communiTy. To help eliminaTe some oT The damage To privaTe properTy, The boys car- ried on a campaign To decrease This desTrucTion. They conTacTed Their liTTle broThers and saw To iT ThaT They kepT Their Halloween acTiviTies To Two nighTs-beggars' nighT and l-lalloween. AT Thanksgiving Time They presenTed a skiT which made up The Thanksgiving Assembly. IT was The sTory oT a Korean veTeran who came home as a wounded soldier and Tound courage. The desire To live on and provide Tor his Tamily, even Though he was handicapped. The Tormal iniTiaTion each year is very impressive. Mr. Tallman spoke To The boys on The Boys' lndusTrial School in LancasTer, Ohio. T-Te was a Tornner Teacher oT The school and was able To ciTe many inTeresTing inci- denTs ThaT he experienced while There. AT anoTher meeTing The club ioined The Senior T-lifY 62 and Koda Klub To hear The superinTendenT oT The Mans- Tield ReTormaTory speak. Mr. Hire showed moving picTures oT Mexico one evening when The group meT. l-le had Taken These pic- Tures while Traveling Through ThaT counTry. Moral l-labiTs was The Topic oT The Talk given by Mr. Veal, SecreTary oT The YMCA. He sTressed The dis- advanTages oT drinking and smoking and also Told The boys whaT happens when They Tollow The ways OT The crowd insTead oT doing Their own Thinking and deciding whaT is righT and wrong. The Junior Hi-Y did iTs parT in The l-Ti-Y-Koda Klub Formal by helping To plan and decoraTe The gym. The boys also helped Their big broTher club, The Senior l-li-Y, in Their cloThing drive by collecTing The cloThes Trom Ashland homes.
