Why Should Someone Become Involved In Student Council? Personally, Student Council has been a learning experience for me, a sort of “leadership workshop” where I’ve learned to deal with people and their personalities and problems. I’ve learned when to compromise and when to take a firm position on issues. Overall, I think Student Council is for people who are willing to learn, work, and cooperate. Mark Matuszewski. 1. President Mark Matuszewski and North Campus Vice- President Mike Savage confer on Student Council procedural matters. 2. Council members ponder future action as Secre- tary Dave MacDonald reads the minutes of previous meetings. 3. President Matuszewski addresses Council members during monthly meeting. Student Life 35
