Among the social events Sigma Chi participated in were the Beat- nik party, Okie Stomp, Sweetheart Dance, South Sea Islander, and Mt. Lemmon party. The Beta Chi chapter also held the second annual Derby Day at which various stunts were performed by members of sororities competing for trophies. The chapter was also awarded the Province Balfour Cup from the national fraternity.
