Phi Kappa Psi Has Active Year With 35 pledges averaging an entering 3.3 GPA, Phi Kappa Psi foimd this vear one of the most producti ' e in the more than 50 it has seen on campus. A well-rounded program encour- ages the house to grow internally and externalh-. Thanksgiving with the Tri-Delts saw the Phi Psi ' s sponsoring a banquet for 60 or- phans. Culturalh ' , the brothers found ample opportunities in the mmierous Cirque Theater parties and speaker programs. Socially, the calendar was crowded with a win- ter formal at the Olympic, the weekend Fire Part ' and a Roaring Twenties party. Phi Psi was active outside the house, too— in Program Panel, HUB committees, Purple Shield and rallies. Targets for big W ' s were Dave Blien, swimming. Bob Moch, crew, and Frank Russell, wrestling. At the corner of 45th and 17th, tlie Fijis blend high scholastic ideals with activities and athletics in a triangular fraternit - program. Continuing a 12- ear tradition of being Number One in fraternity ac- ademics, Phi Gamma Delta cap- tured both IFC scholarship tro- phies: actives with freshmen witli a 2.65. a 2.73 anc If scholarship formed the bottom of the triangle, activities and ath- letics formed the other two sides. Fijis dominated Purple Shield with 11 members, besides having five in Oval Club. In athletics the brothers ' on 43 Bis W letters and 23 frosh num- erals. And the future?
