Arab Students View Holy Land Pictures Islamic Organization Celebrates Christmas Pictures of the Holy Land were the high- light at the Arabic Dinner for the 40 Arab- American Club members. Organized in 1958 in New York for Arab students in the United States, the K-State chapter was guided by Walid Kattan. Queen Scheherazade was crowned at the Arabic Party. The students also exhibited at the fall activities carnivial. To celebrate the Moslem Christmas sea- son, the Islamic Association planned a ban- quet at which Moslem dignitaries appeared as guest speakers. The national organization was established at K-State in 1961. With President A. Asif Ali Hashmy, the 30- member group participated in the annual Convention of Moslem Students. Council Co-ordinates International Affairs Chinese Membership Ranks Second Place Established on the K-State campus in 1953, the International Co-ordinating Council was designed to organize the scheduling of dif- ferent international activities. Syed Asif Hashmy, president, led the group composed of representatives from foreign associations, People-to-People and Peace Corps. Including a high percentage of graduate students, the Chinese Student Association was the second largest group of international students on campus.
