Oct, 5A-Prof. Bartoo takes pity on his down-town classes and lets them recite in the portable. Oct. 7-Caroline's curiosity gets the best of her thus we find her sitting out 45 minutes in Detention Oct. 9-Big Cheer'Meetingfll NYho's gona XYin-win??? Oct. 10-Boys arm themselves with Pep to play Evans City. XYallop them 27-O. Oct. 12-Big dance! .-Xfter Evans City victory. Glorious Time. Oct. 14-Caroline liked Detention so well she decides to go again and takes Ruth along so she'll be sure to have some one to talk to. Oct. l6-All excited! Seniors got their rings, .'Xin't they s-w-e-l-l. Oct. 17-Boys go to Harrisville and are victorious but get scored against for the first time. 40-3. Oct. 20-Report Cards! All make new resolutions. Oct. 2l5Surprise Chuck! NYake up the next time and you'll know welre having a party on you. Oct. 23-Freshman have their first Big Party. Every one dolled up in lilfin costume. Oct. 24-Boys were up against a pretty hard team but regardless of the mud they hold that line. 6-6 Oct. Z8-Seniors entertain Sophomores at a ,Halloween party. Did every one have enough to eat? Oct. 30-Lecture on Future Successw by llr. Charles li. Barker held in linglish Lutheran Church. More resolutions made. Oct. Sl-Team gets ambitious and cleans up on New XYilmington 20-O. Nov. 2-First day of hunting season. Louie and Roy decide that a little nature study won't hurt them. Nov. 3-Vera and Thora try out detention, lt's not so bad-- Never again. Nov. 7-LX Victory! You bet. The boys don't let a little thing like rain hold them back. Beat Dayton 35-0. Nov. ll-Armistice Day. No one at school all loafing except the team and they beat East Brady -4-O-2. Nov. 12-Ruth visits detention. She can't keep still, Nov. 13-Second team has a game with New Castle junior High. Are victorous 14-O. Nov. 18-juniors hold farewell party for one of their number, Esther Bur- kett, who will continue her school work at .Xmbridge, lla. Nov. 20-Pictures taken for the Annual. Camera completely busted. Nov. 26-Thankskiging vacation. All seem to be thankful for at least on thinksthat there is no school Thursday or Friday. Dec. 4-Six weeks exams! Vie drove to the home ot Catherine Baine where we had a jolly time and Q, the llats were Finef' Later or rather earlier we started home reaching Zelienople about one o'clock without a mishap. llaving entered with twenty-six we are leaving with nineteen. Wle believe in quality rather than quantity having developed some distinguished scholars. When the class oi l9Z6 has passed the floor ot Z. H. Si. it will no doubt give to the world many renowned persons. lt has produced a poet ot no mean abilityg a pianist who will rise to fameg an athlete who will make a name for himself among the great athletes: and an author xvho is already dstinguished in Z. H. S. lt contains a Latin dictionary, a walking encyclo- pedia and many other persons ot note. ln summing up the class of 1926 one may ask. XVhy is the class of l926 superior?,' How numerous are the answers that clamor for expression on this question. Vie could write volumes and volumes on the subject and then treat it only in-a profound manner, Our modesty and naturally retiring dis- position. however prevents us from saying more, a fact which might be re- garded as self praise. H lt is with regret that we realize our departure from Z. H. S. is so near. It has been a pleasure to spend tour years in this institution and We will never have quite such good times as we have had here. Yve are sorry to leave Z. H. S. but we are resolved to go forth in the World and make names for ourselves that will be a credit to our '2'Xlma Mater. S. girls defeat Harmony girls 31-3. 19-Evans City defeats Z. H. S. 20-14. 22-Sophomores entertain in chapel. One man program. Dedication of Z. H. S. Dr. Coleman main speaker. 23-Z. H. S. defeated 31-17. 25-Foot-ball Banquet for Mr. Barron. Dance in Z. H. S. . Xuditorium. We all realize that we have lost a faithful friend, teacher and coach. 26--Z. H. S. defeats Rankin 32-31. 284 Aaron Boggs, Freshman!! Play given by Z. H. under direc- tion of Mr. Bartoo. 2942. H. S'. defeats Dayton 29-19. .Freshman B. conduct Chapel. Fine Program. 2-Z. H. S. defeats Portersville 38-20. 4-Varsity goes to New Castle and defeats them 27-13. Second team goes to Evans City and are victorious 23-16. 5-Freshman A. entertain in chapel with a fine program. Z. H. S. play East Brady on home floor, 27-17. Preliminary, Second Team play Flying Eagles 20-9. 9- Too Much Money. Movie sponsored by juniors. ll-Valentine party held in Z. H. S', Auditorium. Big turn onti Mr. Bartoo decides to keep on the look-out for Dan Cupid! 12-Seniors give one act play in chapel, Katie's New Hat. Boys' Varsity play Evans City at Evans City.
