Girls invited their escorts in Leap-Year fashion, and the Ray Rich Combo band pro- vided the music. Pictured is Mary Frances Sheridan. dance chairman, after crowning Mickey Drake king. Looking on is Cecily Ebert, queen. and at extreme left is Martha Roberts. sophomore attendant. King and queen were elected at the dance. rqfim-gamegac a-flap Soc hops, held this year in the ZHS gym after a number of home games, proved quite popular and were attended by students and guests. These affairs were spon- sored by Fellowship club. Deserv- ing much of the credit for their popularity was the ZHS dance band. the Blue Knights. which, with Mr. Biggs' assistance. played triumphal music that was well suited for an aftermath to the many cage victories. mum Paom Junior prom climaxes the social activity schedule. and. followed by a parent-chaperoned. after-mid- night dance. is the most pretentious occasion of the year. Pictured here is a scene from the 1956 prom. One Enchanted Evening . when juniors. as usual. exerted a supreme effort to make the event a fitting tribute to the seniors.

Jill Youmans, cast in a leading role, registers horror as Richard Rogovin and Dave Morton move the fateful pic- ture, and Richard Bainter looks on, helpless to stop the chain of murders. Based on the Agatha Christie novel, the mystery drama Ten Little Indians , pro- duced on November 16, provided an evening of blood-curdling suspense. Scene of the play was a summer home located on Indian Island in Devon, England, where ten Indian statu- ettes on the mantel all Hgure in gruesome lffacfel Siege Dramatic students at ZHS study all phases of play production. includ- ing costuming. make-up and staging. Shown here, exhibiting a model of stage setting for Ten Little Indians. are cast members lleft to right! Terry Timson, Don Mann, and Jill Youmans with Mrs. Bonifant, murder cases. The plot, concerning the slay- ing of guests at the house party, is contrived to fit the details of a familiar nursery rhyme with just enough variation to keep the audi- ence guessing. Left alive at the final cur- tain were ZHS actors Jill Youmans and Terry Timson.
