0 hom 0t ay Goncern: he staff lovingly dedi- cates this ig 6 Gomus to g. . 0ltchards A. B., A. M. Gettysburg College B. S. in Ed. Ohio University TESTIMONIAL Happy are our memories of the days when J. R. Richards was principal at Grover Cleveland. In him one found a man with whom children had such fun, and whose judg- ment and advice they sought. His was the responsibility, the pleasure, and sometimes the pain of developing young brains, of inspiring initiative, ingenuity, and loyalty among students and teachers alike. We knew that in Mr. Richards we had a friend, a kind adviser, and an associate whose aim has always been to make life a little happier and a little better for everyone. A principal with the keen intellect, the Christian spirit, and the genial nature that Mr. Richards possesses is indeed a rare gift to any school. Signed: CLARK E. McCURDY, B. S., M. A. Dean of Boys Grover Cleveland Junior High School Zanesville, Ohio.

The last years of teaching by Mr. Richards were spent as a member of the Voca- tional department of Lash Senior High School. He taught these fellows, pictured above, English, and United States History. It is altogether right and fitting that our COMUS, with its industrial theme, should be dedicated to him. TESTIMONIAL One of the fondest memories of my pre- High School days is my association with J. R. at Grover Cleveland Junior High. His patient understanding, fairness, and kindly guidance were a constant directive in our growing-up in the family of men. ROBERT H. WORST ALL (Class 1940). 1.
