■IJ adviser. This organization is for anyone interested in art. It is not netessary that a member be an art student. Her brother, Kenneth Thompson, taught chemistry and German in the high school and was at one time adviser of the COMUS. He is now a Major in the United States Army. The art worl ; in the high school under Miss Thompson ' s supervision has been out- standing. She has always been willing to ace apt the responsibility of poster making for Red Cross, War Bonds and Stamp sale drives, magazine campaigns, and any other school or community projects which need illustration. Miss Thompson has always supervised the art work of the COMUS. This year, since the book is being dedicated to her, we hava not asked her to assume this task. Instead we have used the illuminated letter su;h as was found in medieval manu- scripts and the alphabetic theme which the writers of Middle Ages used in their riddles. Like Malvoho we ask, What should this alphabetical position portend? Our answer is that we have tried to present a tapestry of high school life by which to remember not only Miss Thompson, but also this eventful year, trul

W L ' M tending the Applied Art School of Chicago, Muskingum College, and Ohio University. She began her career at Lincoln School, later taking over the art work in the junior highs. The year Miss Gillespie left high school. Miss Thompson came to take her place. During the last two summers she taught at Mus- kingum. She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Business and Professional Women ' s Club, and the Saturday Literary Club. In 1938 Miss Thompson founded the Arts and Crafts Club of which she is faculty
