A. in '35, '36, and '37 and in '85 be was a member of the Library Club. In 1938 he lettered in both foot- ball and track. MICHAEL Joni: SULLIVAN, JR. Mike is one of Ysleta's best athletes, being a three year let- terman in football, and out- standing in track work as he ad- vanced to the State meet in '38. He is also a member of the various clubs of the school, and a member of the F. F. A. GLEN TURNER Turner, one of the most Well known and popular boys in school, was Student Body Presi- dent for '39, and has been out- standing in Student Council activities. He was a three year letterman in football, and took part in track in '38. He was a member of the band and vice- president of the Junior class. ELOUISE SUNDQUIST Stuff topped her various ac- tivities in the outstanding clubs such as Courtesy, Spams Club and band by being elected Duchess to the Ysleta Sun Car- nival Dance. i Lonmxmz Tuomns Lorraine has been a member of the hand end drum, Corps. 4. VIRGINIA RAINS Virginia was a member of sev- eral outstanding clubs and a member of the all-star volley and basket ball teams. She was appointed Best Girl Athlete for '39 JARDON NEWMAN WEEMS l'Weiner has been a. member of the band for the past three years. He represented the school in the typing contest in '38 and was a member of the Spanish Club in his sophomore and junior years. This year he is a member of the Press club, Courtesy club and Orchestra. PAUL WUERSCHMIDT Paul has taken part in various activities during his four years in high school, among them be- ing football in '38, and F. F. A. He was president of the Spanish Club in ,38 and a member of the Courtesy Club. CHARLB WILKEN Lefty has been a member of Ysletafs track and basketball beams. He was also a member of the F. F. A. JOHN WOLCOTT John is one of our most brilliant seniors. He was secretary of his class in his sophomore and senior years. In '38 he repre- sented the school in typing. Last year he was a member of the Otyokwa staff. This year he is a member of the Press club. GERTRUDE WILLIAMS Trudy has been a member of several clubs, and of the volley and basket ball teams.
