PROPHECY ‘ A Cruise into the Future’’ Most of the Seniors have been wondering about their futures. Since I have been granted the ‘‘World in a Crystal Ball,’’ I will fortell the 1956 Graduates’ Futures and reveal to them some of my most amazing events. I look in the Crystal Ball and before mel behold a room full of noisy girls. At the front is their teacher, Eileen Price, one of the best commercial teachers York has ever had. But wait! The scene is changing. Now] see a wide open field with 2000 head of cattle owned by the greatest farmer in northwestern Ohio, Richard Morris. Now we turn to the east and there in the sky is an airplane, Yes, it is Larry Welker. He is on his way to Alaska at last to become an ambassador there, Back to the states and to California. There I see Evelyn Perez, who is now a dancing in- structor, Evelyn is now teaching a student her favorite dance, the ROCK AND ROLL. Another change of scenery and I see Martha Dolbey in New York at last, She is secretary to Arthur Godfrey and some times appears on his many television programs, The Crystal Ball shows me a big crowd clapping and yelling. The top star, John Linton, made two more points which won the basketball game for his Fort Wayne Pistons. It also informs me that David Welker is now the greatest electrical engineer in the state of Indiana. He receives a salary of $500 a week. He has bought four new Oldsmobiles with the money he has made, Anne Overholt as everyone knows, is married and living in Cowlick, Iowa, She and her husband (a member of the 1955 Senior Class) live on a 3000 acre farm. Don Williams is experimenting on a newprivate airplane, He hopes it will take him to Mars, Hurry and get it finished Don, we want to go too] And last but not least, Iseeabig crowd of girls and boys in a circle, of course, in the middle ‘is Ruth Ann Welker. She is signing autographs for her many fans, She co-stars with Tab Hunter in ‘‘Queen of the Fan Clubs.”’ I must leave the Crystal Ball now and go back to my duties as Interior Decorator, I am now redecorating the Empire State Building. 17
