Class History Observers on the first morning of school, 1938, could not have failed to see 18 small children who shyly entered their classroom to absorb some knowledge under the direction of Miss Johnson. Out of these 18, there are nine graduating this year. Remember when Eleanor Evans got her mouth tied shut? In the second grade we were under the direction of Miss Gibson. Remember when she sent all of the boys to the office? Miss Evans was our director during the third grade. Remember when we built grass huts? Miss Hieston started us on the road to learning about the world by teaching us geography. Remember when he caught Howard, John, and Anna Lee talking one day and they had to stay in at noon? We were directed by D. Edwin Jones in the fifth and sixth grades. Remember when he was going to give us all a whipping and the County Superintendent walked in, and we got to take our seats? In our seventh and eighth grades we were under the direction of Mrs. Pugh. Remember when we played foot tag for one-half of the year with- out getting caught? Connie Perez entered our class this year. The next year we found that we were more than members of the high school-we were actually Sophomores. Remember when Howard ripped his pants in History Class? In our Junior year, we found many exciting things to do. We received our class rings and pins. We presented our class play Hot Water Heron, on April 8, 1948. We entertained the Seniors May 13, at the school for the Prom. We had Miss Breese as sponsor. Our Senior year we found ourselves under the direction of Mrs. Morris. She keeps us on the jump all the time. We presented M'Liss, My Western Miss , on November 4, 1949. We chose our name cards and invitations, and were busy on the annual a lot of the time. We decided to take a trip to Washington, D. C., New York, and Niagara Falls after school is out. -.17..
