Edith Krugh Secretary ........ ............... D onald Parker Treasurer ..-.....o................. Robert Waltz Reporter ................ -- Junior Linton At our next meeting we talked over the possibilities of having a party which later materialized as a pleasant evening at the home of Virginia Zirkle. It has been customary that the Seniors have their class play in the: fall and the Juniors have theirs in the spring but this year the order was reversed. The Juniors put on a farce in three acts, OH, PROFESSOR, HOW COULD YOUH, with Miss Betty Burke as our director. Every one present enjoyed our play very much and the Juniors enjoyed presenting it. The Juniors chose their class rings before Christmas vacation and they were delivered toward the last of January. The ring is quite plain, but we think it is just what We wanted. It was purchased from Bastian Brothers, of Rochester, New York. So far we have had a successful year and we all look forward to our Senior year at York school. 1110111 1 1 1 1 111 1 1n1:Pg,g'e 16:1141111:11111z1111

In the year of 1938, we were cogitating about seeking further know- ledge within the door of a high school when we, as Freshman entered York High School, with twenty-two students. In March we were joined by two more fun loving members, Helen Ward and Edith Stuber. We have tried to be the peppiest bunch that has ever invaded the doors of this school, and we have succeeded in making plenty of noise and arousingl enthusiasm throughout the last two years. We started out the year with these enthusiastic leaders: President ....,.......a.....-......... Jane Parker Vice President ..........s......,,.. Donald Burnett Secretary ....,-..................s... James Boley Treasurer ....... , ................ Gwen George Reporter .......s.................. Phyllis Mankin Our activities this year have been lots of fun. On October 30, we held a Hallowe'en Party at the home of Jane Breese. It seems as though the girls are the more active this year, for they put five girls on the bas- ketball squad, while the boys failed to get any on their side of the sport. We pledge ourselves tot help make ours a better class and to place York High first in our affections. First Row: Edna Fisher, Laura Morris, Eloise Dibert, Phyllis Mankin, Helen Ward, Virginia Grossnickle, Edith Stuber.
