These are the beauties, elected by the beasts. WE HAD CHICKEN WIRE, PAPER NAPKINS, AND SPRAY PAINT ON THE BRAIN by the Wednes- day before Homecoming. Cut hands, mountains of paper work, hours on teetering ladders, headcracking practices on the frozen field, iced-up mouth pieces, and brain wracking sessions for the half time show, heralded the oncoming of the weekend of mass self expression. It is interesting to note than an extraordinary number of Yorkites contributed to and, perhaps thereby, enjoyed the success of Homecoming, 1966.
