CDR LB. Burnett Jr. Chaplain Commander Ivan B. Burnett, Jr. is a native of Meridian, Miss. His degrees include a B.A. in Psychology from Millsaps College at Jackson, Miss., A Master of Divinity from Yale University, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the School of Theology at Claremont; Claremont, Calif. Upon entering the Navy in 1973, Chaplain Burnett completed the Basic Course for Chaplains in Newport, Rhode Island. Subsequent tours of duty include Battalion Chaplain to the Marines at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Senior Chaplain at NAVCAMS WESTPAC, Guam, Naval hospital; Key West, Fla., USS MISSISSIPPI (CGN40) Pastoral Residency in Portsmouth, Va., and COMNAVBASE. Norfolk, Va. as CREDO Asst. Director and later as Acting Director. He reported onboard YELLOWSTONE on May 15. 1985. While on board YELLOWSTONE, Chaplain Burnett was responsible for organizing the broadest range of Command Religious Program which included; special CREDO retreats, supported the worship of all major religious groups organized a clowne troupe that entertained several different groups of people while overseas. He also worked with the 6th Fleet Chaplain to provide; an audience with the Pope as well as Midnight Mass at St. Peter's Basilica. Chaplain Burnett also arranged special tours for Jerusalem as well as giving lectures on Isreal while still providing ministry for ship's along side of the YELLOWSTONE and teaching classes from Anger Management and Stress Control to Responsible Sexuality and Marriage Enrichment. Chaplain Burnett is married to the former Joanne Evelyn Munsil and they have two sons, Daniel Clark and Davis Shaw. 10

Executive Officer CDR R.L. Adams CDR Adams enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 and was sent to preschool instruction at NAS Beeville, Texas. In June 1965, he began as a student in NATTC Memphis Avionics A school and was in the first class of Antisub marine Warfare Specialists to graduate. Served in helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron units 10,4 and 6 in Reem Field Beach, California. Returned to NA TTC Memphis in 1967 for A vionics B School and was selected to participate in the Na vy Enlisted Scientific Education Program (NESEP). A ftended A uburn Uni versify graduated and was commissioned in December, 1971. Served as Gunnery Officer and First Lieutenant on USS MARIAS (AO-57) followed by a tour as ASW Officer on USS TA TTNALL (DDG-17) and USS HARRY E. YARNELL (CG-19). From those three tours he was assigned as Missile Officer on USS NIMITZ (CVN-68). Additional schooling as the Destroyer Department Head Course in Newport, Rhode Island. From the formal training he was assigned as Engineer Officer on USS GLOVER (FF-1098) followed by First Lieutenant of USS SACRAMENTO (AOE-1). His first shore assignment, outside a school environment, came in October, 1982 when he was assigned to the personnel Exchange Pro gram in the United Kingdom where he taught Surface Warfare Tactis at HMS Dryad in Portsmouth, England. After nearly three years in England he returned to the USN in the form of Assistant Operations Officer on USS INCHON (LPH-12). From the Assistant OPS job he was assigned to his eighth different type of ship as Executive Officer - USS YELLOWSTONE. 9

TMCM R.D. Stacey Command Master Chief Master Chief Torpedoman's Mate Raymond D. Stacey hails from Long Island, New York. Master Chief Stacey entered the Navy in January, 1961. Over the past two and a half decades he has had a wide variety of duty assignments and received extensive technical training. Prior to his arrival on board YELLOWSTONE in October, 1986, he had served on five other Navy ships: USS SIMON LAKE (AS33), USS SPERRY (SS344) USS HUNLEY (AS31), USS COBBLER (SS-344) and USS CA VALLA (SS244). A graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy, Master Chief Stacey also had three tours of instructor duty at Service Schools Command, Orlando, Florida and was the detailer in Washington, D.C. for Torpedoman's Mates and Sonar Minemen. Master Chief Stacey's personal awards include the Navy Achievement Medal ■ two awards. Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle Efficiency 'E', Good Conduct, six awards, National Defense Medal, Sea Service deployment and Expert Pistol Medal. 11
