Dance and Drill team members in action doing one of their routines during half-time of a home basketball game. The D-D team performed at every home game and accompanied the basketball team on one of the out-of-town games. Many hours of practice went into per- fecting the routines. At least one new routine was presented at each of the home games. The performances of the D-D team added much to the color and excitement of a very successful basket- ball season. pi, 1' ', ,, g . L..f' L At half-time during the final home basketball game of the season, Dance and Drill team sponsor, Mrs. Lynn Merritt, was taken by surprise when she was presented with a bouquet of roses in appreciation for the time and effort spent in sponsoring the D-D team. Lupe Romero, student director of the D-D team, received a corsage from the members for her many hours of work with the team. 5

Yavapai College's Choir and Chorus, under the direction of Mr. James Burns, was active on and off campus. Music students displayed their talents, acting and singing in the musical South Pacific. The voice students played an important role in the dedication ceremonies September 20. There were many times during the year that found the students singing for civic organizations which held meetings in the college cafeteria. From April 20 through April 24 the choir went on a four-day singing tour of Northern Arizona high schools. Above, Mr. Burns get set to direct his singers.
