Under the direction of Miss Louise Serr, the Girls' Glee Club, consisting of thirty- one members. sang on various occasions dur- ing the year. The girls competed in the music contest held in Yank- ton. participated in the annual spring concert, and sang several num- bers on the Christmas concert program. These students met twice a week on Tues- day and Thursday. Every Monday evening, any- time after 7:00, twelve brilliant chemists and physicists gathered in Room 44 for Physics Club. Members worked diligently on their' projects, some of which dealt with radio, photography and airplanes. Gene Nelson presided over the business meetings with Vice- president John Andersen and secretary-treasurer Stan Schulte assisting him. Alfred Halsted was the adviser of the group. 9. 04. 04. Girls who were in- terested in athletics met twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday to gain points for their letters. Headed by ad- viser Miss Mary Brue- hler, the maidens par- ticipated in both out- door and indoor sports throughout the year.
