Mr. Richard Chambers This year's group of infants started their battle for knowledge with ranks numbering 51. Already two have fallen by the side of the path, but the remaining 32 are really making a name for themselves inimg portals of Y. H. S. The freshmen were duly overhauled by the sophomores on October 9--lO, and treated to a party on that Friday night. They returned this party with a successful get-together on November 14. As another activity, they have sponsored a theater party on November 27. A large number of the freshmen are glee club members. In sports, pep, and scholarship they have done very well: Carl Kuykendall is a member of the first string baseball squadg Guy Wade was made manager of ath1eticsgDonne Stephen- son and 'Margaret Hacker are Y's Girlsg and the unusually c high scholastic average of the new class is much wondered gimhm5x and discussed.
