Congratulations to all students for a good year which has been crammed full of worthy accom- plishments. lt is my sincere hope that your experiences in the Yakima schools will have helped to prepare you to serve your Nation more effectively. Remember that education does not end with graduation. It is a process that continues during your whole life. Your constant endeavor to improve yourself after leaving school will be one of the important elements in your success. ln these troubled times when even our freedom is being challenged and when the destiny of mankind hangs in a balance. the world needs as never before the leadership of clear thinking young men and women. Now is a good time to revaluate your goals, renew your faith in democracy and to pledge your help toward shaping a better world. a world with a bright future of peace and abun- dance. Best wishes to the graduating class, a splendid group of students upon whom the solution of many of our problems will depend and who I feel certain will do their utmost to preserve the tradi- tions that have made the United States of America a great Nation.
