Cfadd ed Xavier girls come in assorted sizes Which can be classified as Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior. All have their own endearing qualities. All are unique in themselves and represent a phase in the development of the true Xavier spirit. FRESHMEN are bursting with eagerness and enthusiasmrTo them nothing is drab or routine as- they bolElly set out to conquer. SOPHOMORESi bubbling zeal grows into a de- termination to do their best and unfurl Xaviefs banner from the heights. JUNIORS get their first taste of life as upper- classmen. Their new mantle of maturity is worn with slight uneasiness but they more than make up for it with their loyalty and ever deepening devo- tion to Xavier. SENIORS scale the summit of high school achievement. They have founded their characters on Faith, Honor, and Loyalty and are ready to climb on through the hills of life. Graduation, once a far-off star caught on a misty peak, shines just ahead.

Only four short years ago we entered your doors for the first time. Before we leave wetd like to thank you for the lessons youlve taught and the memories youtve given us. They are the things well cherish foreve, . Remember all the fun we had as freshmen? The welcome party from the seniors, our Big-Sister Tea, GAA initiation, the Sock Hop, our first semi-formal, and, of course, our trip ttAround the World at the breakfast for the seniors. They were wonderful times, and by the end of the year we had really grown up. Sophomore year Came with all the growing pains possible. The ttBroomstick Bouncelt was our first big enterprise on our own,. and we were all so proud when it was a success! That was the year our class spirit and school loyalty really began to develop. What a thrill it was to beat the seniors in the Annual Drive and clean-up campaign, but how we hated to say good-bye as they were presented in their uOpening Night at graduation. Junior year, and we were finally upperclassmen. We acted like it too-until the Guild initiation, when the seniors showed us they were still boss! Our mixers, ticket drives, and the valentine lunch all helped us to become more united that year, and this unity hel ed to make our class tops. Graduation came and it was our turn to be usobbing ostesses at the banquet, HSea Fantasea . And then, before we knew it, the night of nights was upon us-our first prom, and welll remember it HTill the End of Time . 1960-61, the year of changes. Our senior year. We had dreamed about it, and yet, when it came we met it with regret, for we would be doing everything that year for the last time . Our last Candlelighting, our last retreat, our last May Crowning. We had fun too, of course-the ring ceremony, the Christmas dance, the senior assembly. These things place a poor second to the eventsrwhich we realize we will really miss. You have taught us, Xavier, to appreciate the finer things of life. With' the help of God and His Blessed Mother you have given us memories we could gain nowhere else. We leave your hallowed halls with the knowledge that you have prepared us to meet and accept everything the world 03ers to us. For this we thank you, Xavier, for this we love you.
