Faculty Adviser Professor Roherts -K fflrfiv' f62f.J.1 -76l0f1'y As Septemher, 1947, rolled around, we memhers of the Class of '48 at long last hecame seniors and soon after that elected ollieers to head our class, Dick Laulor was voted president, and lvlary Eagen and Frank Elannery were chosen vice-presidents. Aleanne Sheridan and John Tripp hecame our secretary and treasurer, respectively, and Beverly Bower and john Todd took their positions as class historians. How can we forget the many events that have filled up the yearf' The annual Y and lntersociety Receptions got off to a good start, and the Youth Centers, Sport Dances. and Proms have added a great deal to the regular school curriculum. All year the sports contests have heen of high calihre and have created lots of enthusiasm and interest in us. Uur 'Varsity foothall squad had some tough luck, hut the game with Wilkes College at which Seminary was lirst known as the Blue Knights is particularly notahle. Not to he outdone hy the so-called stronger sex, the Cirls' Hockey Teams were victorious time and time again. And after Christmas vacation. we flocked to see the numerous hasket- hall games, swimming meets, and wrestling matches, Along the literary line, Helen Phillips and john Todd were chosen editors of the Opinator , and Bill Evans and Ellen Davis heeame the editors of this, the Annual puhlica- tion. jean Rohhins and Joan Everett were the respective husiness managers for the two literary productions. Hal Buckingham and james Williainis represented the Amphic- tyon Society in the annual dehatc, while john Fear won the individual award for his outstanding work on hehalf of the Independents. joan Thomas, Frank Flannery, Reheckah Nicholson, and Lawrence Klein were the principals in the Oratorical Contest. Each one of us has some particular incident of the school year which he rememhers lwest. Perhaps it is the moment he rose to give his senior oration, or the time he forgot to study his notes for the history test. Although life at Seminary has meant something different to each of us, we can all agree that it has heeti a rich, inspiring experience and that it will linger in our memories as long as life shall remain.
