Through biology, chemistry and general science, we learn the intricate laws that govern our life processes and environment. ln algebra and geometry we find that almost every achievement is based on mathe- matics - radar, construction, network communication, irrigation, flood control, atomic energy and the study of space. First and second-year algebra, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry are available to any am- bitious student. Through the biological and physical sciences, we explore the myriad secrets that nature holds for man, from the smallest one-cell animal to our vast universe. The microscope, barometer, test tube, flask, crucible and Bunsen burner have become familiar words.
